All 2027 Out of Zone applications are now open. Please complete the enrolment form linked to this website. There will not be a 2027 March Ballot as all 2027 spaces will be confirmed in the Ballot drawn on the 21st October 2026 unless in zone enrolments do not meet the expected numbers. The cut off for the October Ballot is 3pm on the 14th October 2026.

The Board of Trustees have accepted Cohort entry, starting in 2027. Year 0/1 students in 2027 will start school on the entry dates that are closest after their 5 birthday. There are two entry dates each term. These dates are set by the Ministry of Education and they are below in the link. School visits will be organised with parents in the month leading up to their first day.

Confirmation on how many available spaces we will have for 2027 will be announced at a later date.

Please note: A ballot may be cancelled if class numbers are full due to in zone enrolments.

How to Apply:

Click on the application form from the links below.
Complete the form and email a copy of your child’s passport or NZ birth certificate to enrolments@ponsprim.school.nz. If your child does not hold a New Zealand or Australian passport, proof of the right to study in New Zealand must also be provided.
The ballot will be conducted by a lawyer, or police offical and you will be notified of the results within five working days.
For children new to school (turning 5), you should enter the closest ballot past their 5th birthday.

Priority Order for Ballot:

First Priority: Applicants accepted into any special programme run by the school and approved by the Secretary for Education. (Note: We currently do not have any special programmes that qualify for this category.)
Second Priority: Siblings of current students.
Third Priority: Siblings of former students.
Fourth Priority: Children of former students of the school.
Fifth Priority: Children of employees at the school (working 2 days or more per week) or children of school board members.
Sixth Priority: All other applicants.
