The March 19th Ballot is now closed. This will be drawn on 19th March and announced the following day via email. Please note this ballot is for 2026 spaces ONLY.  

All 2027 Out of Zone applications are now open also please complete the enrolment form linked to this website. There will not be a 2027 March Ballot as all 2027 spaces will be confirmed in the Ballot drawn in Oct 2026 unless in zone enrolments to not meet the expected numbers. 

Spaces for 2026 will be announced at a later date.

Please note: A ballot may be cancelled if class numbers are full due to in zone enrolments.

How to Apply:

  1. Click on the application form from the links below. 
  2. Complete the form and email a copy of your child’s passport or NZ birth certificate to enrolments@ponsprim.school.nz. If your child does not hold a New Zealand or Australian passport, proof of the right to study in New Zealand must also be provided.
  3. The ballot will be conducted by a lawyer, or police offical and you will be notified of the results within five working days.
  4. For children new to school (turning 5), you should enter the closest ballot past their 5th birthday.

Priority Order for Ballot:

  1. First Priority: Applicants accepted into any special programme run by the school and approved by the Secretary for Education. (Note: We currently do not have any special programmes that qualify for this category.)
  2. Second Priority: Siblings of current students.
  3. Third Priority: Siblings of former students.
  4. Fourth Priority: Children of former students of the school.
  5. Fifth Priority: Children of employees at the school (working 2 days or more per week) or children of school board members.
  6. Sixth Priority: All other applicants.
