At Ponsonby Primary, we believe that every child is unique and deserving of the opportunity to grow at their own pace. Our approach is centred around understanding and responding to each child’s individual needs, whether it’s academic, emotional, or social. Teachers and learning assistants often serve as the first point of contact for students. Expanding the skillset of teachers and learning assistants in mental health education is essential for creating a more supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Our School Facilities

Our school includes multiple playgrounds for various age groups, newly opened ‘Maker Space’ to inspire and allow our tamariki to create, sports field, heated swimming pool and music room for our students to enjoy.
